Day 3 and time for a long distance race
Very spectacular setting, taking place on the summit of a mountain, made even more fun as we had to get a chairlift up to the arena. A first for me for an orienteering race!

Starting in the sweltering heat, temperatures slowly cooled, and after 1 hr rumblings of thunder began that got louder and louder. With about 10mins left of my run, the storm was directly overhead, and the rain was similar to standing in the shower! What a day to not bring any waterproofs... the chairlift back down was unpleasant to say the least!

Coincidentally, this mountain shares the same name as the town our accommodation is in, and where Andrew and co drove to in the middle of the night 3 days ago.
