Birthday Girl

Today, we drove to Vermont to celebrate our granddaughter Nora's fourth birthday!  (Her real birthday is not until tomorrow, but her party was held today.). Here she is, patiently waiting for her Papa to light the candles on her birthday cupcakes.  There were about 12 four year olds (and younger) at the party, and I have to say I couldn't believe how well behaved they all were! 

Extras:  Nora with her mom and her cousins Elliott and Henry, enjoying the haul of birthday presents after the party had ended, and the most enormous caterpillar I've ever seen, perched on son Tom's finger after it was found on the lawn.  No idea what this behemoth will turn into ... perhaps a pteradactyl???
