Unexpected elephants

Today started with a text from Alice asking if I was free at all. Unfortunately I was an hour and a half away. Knowing she was having a difficult time at the moment I phoned her up to apologise and found her in tears.

Sometimes two small children can be more than you can cope with when the bottom falls out of your world.

I quickly rearranged my day and shot down to see her - and I'm glad I did. I had a wonderful time playing with her children, helping her tidy up and heading to the park for an hour. Apparently I made her day too.

Also, there was an elephant!
