Call me Tufty

My how these chicks have grown!

Took a detour to the duckpond on the way home from work and was surprised to find that the pukeko chicks have just about lost all their fluff - just a wee bit still evident on this ones' head. It seemed natural to call him 'Tufty'

(Anyone who grew up in the UK in the 60's or 70's may well remember Tufty teaching us all how to cross the road safely. "At the kerb, stop. Look left, look right, look left again then if it's all clear, quick march" I think I had a hanky with this on it!)
