Va va va Froome!

And a Welshman too!

There was a massive scrum around the Team Sky bus and somehow I got a spot right by the exit area!

To say it was organised chaos, would be stretching it.  Utterly disorganised chaos, but such good fun.  The team buses arrived and parked anywhere they liked so no space left for the late arrivals.  You can see this in my extras, along with G (Geraint Thomas, Julian Alaphillipe also in the collage), scenes from the start line and the teams area.

We had a good ride along the Coastal Path this morning and got there for about 09:00, where we weren't allowed on the road because of the cars (which is always the case in Pembrey Country Park), then we got sent on a track unsuitable for some of the bikes (and there was much grumbling from those on racing bikes), but it was not good for Mr T either as the surface was very bad.  First was a call in to the St. John's Ambulance tent as I managed to cut my thumb locking up the bikes!  Anyway all was forgotten when I got him his breakfast in a box!  Only a fiver and he said it was better than the one he had in M&S yesterday!

After that we had a wander around and then cycled back.  It was nice and warm, shorts and t-shirts again, but it rained a bit, and the Coastal Path was like the M25 in rush hour!  It was good to confirm the DWR sorts/trousers I got on sale last month really are water repellant and I stayed dry.

We had a coffee and cake in Flanagns and then had a fairly relaxed afternoon and it was very welcome!

I was sooo excited!  To see Chris Froome was a dream come true!  I hoped to see him, but I knew it might not be possible!
