Hempstead by Holt

A couple of miles outside Holt, along winding roads, is the little village of Hempstead. Every year they hold an art exhibition and sale at the village hall which is of a lovely standard and variety, plus they have lovely home made cakes and tea / coffee as refreshments. They also hold a £5 lucky dip where you always 'win' a donated piece of art. Hempstead also has one of the prettiest churches I've ever seen with a little thatched apse. I've blipped it before, and no doubt I'll blip it again - and must take my DSLR next time. The art exhibition and sale is in aid of church funds.

It was a glorious hot and sunny day and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting out and reading the Sunday paper in the garden this afternoon.
