The dropped stitch

Second cake of the day

So glad to be getting back up to speed as my cold disappears.

A gloriously sunny day.

Dancing in the morning, followed by a quick strimming job for D. She is selling her house and felt her 'kerb appeal' was being let down by an overgrown grassy verge at the roadside.

In the afternoon I called along to the community garden. L had a birthday yesterday. She is one of 2 dedicated women who work in the garden every Sunday, come rain or shine. In the sun our little group shared cake and oatcakes with salmon pate, washed down with coffee. Given the option, L would say she didn't want any mention of her birthday, so this was a very low key, yet perfect way for a few friends to mark the occasion.

An emergency blip at this evening's dancing - our snack selection for the tea break.
