2018 Sunday — The New AC

My parents bought this house in May 1964 when it was brand new — there was no AC. In 1970 we purchased the house from them; we lived here 28 years with no AC and then purchased our big wonderful home a mile and a half from here. The past 24 years the house has been a rental with no AC. Today we changed that.

This house now has central air conditioning. The man who did the installation job (along with two of his friends) is employed by the local school district working in heating and air conditioning.

We were given three different estimates. A little over $22,000 another was a little over $10,000 and another was just under $8,000. The cost was staggering! You can probably guess which one we selected.
