Giving

The end of the auction evening for my rowing club - we do good things and the activity is a healthy one to include providing opportunity for youth to be engaged in sport and training and cooperation - all good skills and experiences.

However, with so many needs in the world though, I personally am always torn on where to put my few extra dollars. I read of a website yesterday called "Crowdrise" which is a really cool way of social networking. The story focused on Hurricane Sandy - I looked at the site and it is being used for tons of causes. Somehow joining in with others does make a pittance feel more powerful! Someone was doubling donations last night and that had such an effect on me.
