Contrasts

Lovely warm sunny day so we went for a walk around Willen Lake ...nicer than it used to be now the water’s clear and it was fun to watch the water-skiers, the people jumping around the water based inflatables course and for AR and Mx to spot dogs and bikes around us. Took ages as AR walked/scooted most of the way - spurred on by the promise of an ice cream at the end of the walk!
Home for lunch and she finished with her favourite - watermelon that was almost bigger than her!
Did a bit of shopping for V’s birthday and Mt sorted my laptop to hand on to A, then she and N came round, along with T&Kt and we chatted on the patio for a while, mainly about the wedding which is coming up fast (Oct 4th).
I set off for the long drive home. Listened to Black Dogs by Ian McEwan all the way home. Took longer than usual to get into it but soon his characteristic style kicked in and I ended up enjoying it.
Home very late and straight to bed
