The Lozarithm Lens

Curzon Street (Sunday 2nd September 2018)

This one has been in the Blipbank for awhile, in fact I have photographed it several times and then posted something else. It lies on the main road opposite the cemetery, a few doors down from me. Sutton's are a local builders who built the Curzon Park estate that lies behind and stretches down further towards Berhill's Farm as building permissions have been gradually granted. Their former headquarters were abandoned long before I moved to Calne and it was derelict for many years. The cut through to the left used to be a short cut to Curzon Park.

Some while ago it was restored sufficiently to be habitable, then became unoccupied again and now appears to be in the process of full renovation.

I've been watching the stonemason bringing it back to its current state. The interior is also currently being restored. The stonework has a beautiful pale honey surface but as it faces North it is hard to get an accurate representation. I chose the wrong day as there was a car legally parked on the single yellow line which I couldn't wholly exclude.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Van Morrison - I Can Tell (2017)
The track which struck me most from this day's Cerys Matthews show on Radio 6 was this fiery treatment of the old Bo Diddley classic. Van plays harmonica, Jeff Beck guests on guitar and Chis Farlowe is on backing vocals.
