An afternoon at the park

We had a nice lazy morning this morning. We watched a bit of TV, had a picnic breakfast, read some books and made a den under the dining room table!

At midday we headed out to the country park. The sun was shining and the children couldn’t wait to get in the massive sand play area. We had lunch, a walk around the lake and then I let them loose in the sand. They busied themselves for ages. Playing in the water, digging, making sand castles and climbing on the equipment. They had a fantastic time and I bumped into an old friend and we had good catch up.

Just enough time for ice creams before heading home for tea.
