Today is the 8th anniversary of the first Christchurch earthquake. On our wall above the kitchen window is a painting done by our daughter Amy. Kia Kaha literally means "Be strong". Sadly this and the following earthquakes effectively ended life as it was for many Christchurch people. Things will never be the same again however we are slowly starting to see the emergence of a brand new and exciting city centre.
