It started so well; then when we went out to school, we realised just how wet it was.

As I sat in work all morning, no socks (soaked), squirming in my seat (wet shorts) watching the workload pile up and the boss talk of head count reduction and increased income (Income? We don't generate income??!??!), it was not the best of Mondays.

I felt shivery and weak as I plodded the streets at lunchtime; the introduction of Metallica and Ministry in the afternoon helped and off at 6 to hers; similarly shivery and lethargic. But also stressed about the sacked son too. 

A low key lamb wrap and then chicken salad with the lemon sumac mint yoghurt garlic dressing - it hit the mango perfectly - and off home on the darkness on auto pilot.
