Beautiful Sunday

Stow was, until recent times, supplied with water from springs below the town Some of these springs have never dried up, and the two in Well Lane, of which this is the larger, were made into wells. This was the towns main water supply until 1937.

You can see the water from the spring running into the well in the far corner.

Also many dogs have had a good bath in it!!
