Feathery seed

In the pantry I bumped into a vase with dried flowers and branches and then noticed these feathery wisps that had come loose. When I wanted to see better and touched it, out it came of the seed head with this tiny seed at the end. It's the seed of Leucadendron rubrum or the Spinning top cone bush (see the cone/seedhead here). It's a Southern Hemisphere plant, its cones are used as bouquet fillers especially in the Northern Hemisphere during the winter.

For Tiny Tuesday with thanks to Debbi/dbifulco for hosting this month !

Thanks very much for the kind comments and stars for yesterday's Blip of my own comfort zone :-)
