Portrait Bench

Local people had the opportunity to vote for which figures (each with a local connection) should be the ones on display at the bench on the towpath of this stretch of the Forth & Clyde Canal.

The winners were Robert Barr of A.G. Barr, makers of our 'other national drink'  Irn Bru.  Dr Harold Lyon of Strathcarron Hospiice,  and Reg Adams former swimming coach.
