Window on the world

The porthole is part of a space capsule, this one is on display in Peterborough Cathedral for a few months and is the one that UK astronaut Tim Peake occupied for his outward journey to the International Space Station and for his return trip. The parachute is above it.

They also have a virtual reality exhibit, you sit with goggles and a headphone and as you turn your head you bring into view different parts of the capsule and different angles of view outside. Quite incredible.
