BLACK AND WHITE

We had a holiday fatality today. A little Blackcap flew full pelt into the side window and died immediately. When I picked it up and moved it to the trees on the other side of the feeder I took photos of the fungi on the pile of old bark and wood under the bird feeder. I think this is a common ink cap, but I'm not sure.

I've posted some back blips, but the wifi isn't reliable and I may not post again until I get home. Meanwhile, back to birdwatching....
