Stormy……

…………….....…..Weather

The storm has raged all day and continues this evening - and it is expected to be the same tomorrow!

This afternoon we drove further along the coast in a northerly direction. The view back towards Castlepoint was spectacular with the layers of breaking waves and sea mist filling the air.

The main photo was taken from the carpark overlooking the reef between the lighthouse and Castle Rock. What can’t be seen is the huge amount of wet sand streaming through the air and covering everything in a thick layer.

The collage in extra includes
extremely wet trunks of pine trees, growing between the road and the turbulent water below
part of the reef near Castle Rock being battered by turbulent waves.
the distant view of Castlepoint lighthouse.
the coastline shrouded in mist.

The internet is useless here and again I will tether this computer with my husbands phone so I can upload this to my blip journal.  My apologies for the lack of comments, stars and hearts at the moment.

For the moment, thank you for taking the time to visit yesterday’s backblip of coastal Castlepoint, NZ.
