Falling fast

We had visitors on Sunday and spent all the time in the garden. The grass was cut within an inch of its life and general tidying up was done on Saturday. On Sunday morning these dahlias were picked and put in a jug on the  little table. They looked good, their vivid colours against the off white table. Sadly the petals have started to fall, the red flower almost completely gone.
