Cygnet on Wildlife Day - 4th Sept.

Every year the planet loses numerous species to the growth and expansion of human activity. Yet it's not all bad news. There are many organisations which are working to counter habitat destruction, educate the public and raise awareness of the treasures in local environments. The regeneration of our canals is a case in point. Countless swans raise a brood in the built-up conurbation of Glasgow thanks to the Forth and Clyde Canal.
