A chilly , foggy start after yesterday’s continuous rain.
It soon burned off though so spent a morning next door tagging calves.
Gary from McCaskie Farm Supplies in for his coffee and left with an order for minerals , feed blocks and cattle wormer- an expensive cup of coffee for me !
Had a prospective hill herd in for a job interview this afternoon. Will see what happens .
Mechanic pal Mr D here fixing the slurry pump and replacing steering ball ends on 2 tractors before they break and cause an accident.
A cow had to be brought in as the calf hadn’t sucked properly and she had blasted teats. She wasn’t the most sociable and very handy with her feet but eventually got enough milked out her to feed the calf .
