The Return of the Ferry.

For the past 6 months our little ferry at Englishtown beach has been out of commission, which isn't so bad for us, but for folks living up on the Cabot Trail part of the island, they have had to drive 'the loop' which can add up to 20 minutes each way for a trip to Sydney for example.   They have been replacing the concrete slips on either side of the ferry ramps, and it cost about 3.5 million apparently......Terry and i decided to go and investigate cos there was a rumor that the ferry might be back up and running this month!   We were both happily surprised to see the ferry in it's proper place, it even made a couple of trips....still not open to the public, but i'm guessing that will happen soon.

We had a lovely walk along the stony beach, and i managed to walk with balance, something i haven't been able to do for about 4 months....another little grin of an achievement i tell you!!!
