Cowabunga!!

We caught the bus to the turtle sanctuary this morning. The season is nearly over so they had already released the babies into the sea, but there were some big ones that had been rescued. One had a huge gash on it’s shell that was probably from a propellor. This one is about seventy years old. They keep them for a few years until they are completely healthy and able to survive outside the sanctuary. They eat jelly fish and will mistake a plastic bag for one and when this happens it fills with air inside them and effects their ability to swim and float.

We then spent the rest of the day on the beach swimming, sunbathing, swimming, sunbathing.....it was a hard afternoon. :)

Now I need to dry my hair and get ready to go into town.

An accident free day :)))
