criminal damage (by mole and badger)

This started in a mole's tunnel, which resulted in a wasp nest being built down below, then a badger dug a large hole in search of wasp grubs in the nest.  The nest is still partially there, and the wasps have not abandoned the site.

This photo was difficult: it would have been unwise to annoy the insects, and harsh light made it very difficult to see any detail down in the hole.  The one wasp visible is in the centre of the remains of its nest.  (In the end I had resorted to bracketing to bring out some detail.)
