A trifle
Today was the final long run before the marathon (three weeks, today). I'd thought I'd try for another twenty-one miles but in the end I did twenty-two: no aches or pains, just the tiredness in the legs from around thirteen miles onwards, although the last couple of miles were fine.
Abi wanted to hang out with a friend, so it was just me and Dan who went for lunch at the The Bridge at Tatham, which we discovered earlier this year. The food there is great and I had something like 5,000 calories to burn!
Cumberland sausage whirl in a giant Yorkshire pudding with chips and gravy for my main and then, the running dividend, a homemade trifle. Hooray!
