Edward Alleyn

This is a statue of Edward Alleyn-Elizabethan actor and founder of The Dulwich Estate and Schools. He was associated with The Globe Theatre, living at the same time as Shakespeare. He often took the title role in Christopher Marlowe's plays-who I think lived close to Dulwich in Deptford.
