Another book

I would highly recommend this book for children and adults who like kid’s books. It’s the second book about an 11 year old girl Ada who is trying to work out what is what in the Second World War. She comes from the slums of London and is uneducated but learning about love and fear, gratitude, loss, friendship, envy, effort, real and not real, religion and race. She gets a dictionary for a Christmas ( what’s Christmas?) present ( what is a present) and starts to read and try to understand complex situations.

Olivia, my granddaughter, lent it to me to read. I LOVED it.

Quick trip to Sydney today to see the specialist. All my tests were fine. Rain forecast for tonight and tomorrow. Hooray.
