Dunnock

Called a hedge sparrow by some but incorrectly as it is not related to the sparrow but  is a song bird belonging to the accentor family - it likes scrub/low lying vegetation/hedges as it is a ground feeder, scurrying around looking for insects and small seeds but it sings from a high, exposed position
