Digging for history
This morning I went shopping in town and stopped to look in on the Oswestry Castle archaeological dig. This is the fifth year that there has been a dig which is excavating the castle keep which is under the earth and rubble. Last year lots of finds were discovered including cannon and musket balls, pottery and a large corroded key. This year they're hoping to find the entrance to the keep. There's more information about the project here.
At the moment they're digging down to where they finished last year so I'll call back at the end of the dig in 3 weeks time to see what's been discovered.
Tonight a friend from the band is coming here and we're going to try to find incidental music to play during a production that we're both involved in. I'll need to get my thinking cap on!
