Thirlmere Reservoir.

Thirlmere Reservoir was built at the end of the 19th century to supply water for Manchester and still does to this day. It was another 17 1/2 km walk around the lake in light rain but I really enjoyed every minute of it. Lots of diversity with walks through the forest and along the banks of the lake and then across the dam wall which is 100 plus years old.
