true colours...

...of the Twenty Eight Parrot one of four subspecies of  Australian Ringneck or Broad Tailed Parrots and so called because it's three note call sounds like '28'.

This colourful dude  perched on a neighbour's citrus tree eyeing up the bounty of fruit which they burrow into leaving an empty shell dangling from the tree.
It's the first time I've noticed the red frontal band just above the beak each little splash  of colour tiny red feathers.
