Oh to be by the sea!

We arrived just after lunch via a brunch stop at Hentiesbaai. We were a little early to check in to our treat - a hotel room, but they let us park the Land Rover and we went for a wander along the pier until we were could get into the room.

We both appreciated being at our destination early in the day and the chance to take things at a slower pace .

Once in our room we had a sort out of our cases and took advantage of warm showers and then sat on the balcony and enjoyed the view for a while.

Later we went for a seafood dinner for my birthday, which was delicious! The best calamari I have ever eaten! We had wine and cocktails to accompany the meal and Don Pedros to finish off a wonderful evening.

A great start to my birthday weekend.
