Pecking order

The gulls own Dublin city center. 
Which is a good thing. Because they are more qualified to do so than anyone in the Corpo, not least its manager, your man who made sworn enemies of large swathe of rural Ireland by not granting planning permission for five Garth Brooks concert in a row in Croke Park. 

I thoroughly enjoyed the walk from Tara Street station to what shall soon be the new place of work (three and half weeks to go and counting). 

But I had sort of forgotten what it feels like to see someone injecting heroin in broad daylight. 

There is a lot of hardship around the city center. It ain't a bed of roses for a lot of people.
