Studying hard

A few days ago we were warned that a child in our boy's playgroup has chicken pox, so we knew there was a high probability he will catch that virus as well. This morning we saw the telltale signs of little red spots on his back. It's been a while since our first child had chicken pox, but I don't remember it being a whole lot of fun. So a trip to the chemist tomorrow and then us bracing ourselves for a week or two of cranky behaviour.

This will probably the last spottie-free picture I can take of our little chap for a while. This isn't an entirely contrived pose. We're pleased to say that he's taking a real interest in books and is even starting to recite the pages from memory.
