Gel printing

Quiet today.... Took Salem to the groomer and she looks (and smells) so much better. The people who take care of her do a great job however, she picks up an odor there that I am not a fan of. They are a quirky bunch but they love Salem, and all of their other charges.

I spent some time playing with the gel plate, acrylic paints, and some leaves that I took from the yard. Added a few zentangles and this poem (which I found on the web - it seemed like an appropriate sentiment for the day). It's going to be cloudy and showery for the next several days.

For every page that I like, I make a ton that I don't like. I'm still learning which colors look good together. Some people who do art journaling make pages with lots of layers, maybe up to 10 different layers. Something always goes wrong for me around layer 4 so I have learned to stop there....
