Not the Highlands

Everyone knows that Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, mostly due to it's old architecture, and Scotland has some of the most beautiful highland scenery in the world. But Edinburgh also has some lovely scenery too, approximately a mile from the city centre you can can take a stroll through Holyrood Park (and up Arthur's Seat), within a couple minutes it's as if you are in the Highlands.

Today was mostly a beautiful bright and sunny day, although there was a big bad nasty black cloud that dumped a bunch of rain on me, and it was rather chilly.

This is of course Arthur's Seat in the sunshine, if you look closely you can see a brave soul on the top, it was actually fairly busy with a lot of people walking up, no doubt the views were great but I did wonder how many people realised how cold and chilly it would be at the top? here was no way I was going up there at this time of year!I did spend some time at St. Margaret's Loch taking photos of birds.
