Another workshop,

this time it was a demonstration! The cake being made is Bolo de Mel de Cana da Madeira, or Madeira honey cake. The ‘honey’ is actually molasses which is locally sourced from the sugar cane in Madeira. The extra shows the ‘pairing wine and food’ meal we had. Prune vinaigrette salad with ricotta, piglet belly in reduction of red wine and rosemary with mashed sweet potato and tangerine tiramisu.
