The Head of the Peloton

I had to go to East Leake this morning to judge the photography section of the East Leake Village Show.

It also happened to be the day that the Tour of Britain cycled through East Leake, the longest leg of this year's Ovo sponsored ride, starting in West Bridgford, south of Nottingham and finishing in Mansfield, traversing the country roads of Nottinghamshire in the process.

I managed to get a good spot on the rise just outside the dentists,  but would much rather have been in the central reservation of the Gotham Road where I could have got closeups. Marshals were restricting access, but one or two got spots.
