Straw for Strawing

These bales have been lined up to spread the straw over the carrot crop to protect it from frost.

Saw this with really dramatic light the other morning, but had no time to stop. Didn't have any time today either, and not sure a quick iPhone shot does it justice!

A very varied day - early walk with LMB and dogs, morning on site at a client, brief meeting and practice shoot with tomorrow's bride and groom, back to the office for a while, home to cook tea, pack gear, and collapse.
