Day Six: France 2018

Backblipped 8th Sept 
 
A lovely wander round the village first thing before and after breakfast with my camera – like Dijon way too many pictures to choose from, however the view up the valley won the blip spot with a few more in extras.
 
An amazing drive back down through the Alps – as on the way up, marveling at the cyclists and having a delicious roadside picnic – and also being even more conscious that it is downhill the whole way to Grenoble!
 
It was then a flat and straight (!) drive to our hotel in Briel-Sur-Barse. Such a beautiful room – with the biggest and comfiest bed! And James then produced the cards and presents he’d had hidden in the car for my birthday! 
 
A wee wander round the town (with an obligatory birthday cake and coffee stop) and then a wee bit of some fizzy stuff before heading out for dinner.
 
A lovely evening was had sitting outside watching the world go, even if having a slightly different meal to the one we’d anticipated! And of course on the return walk to the hotel we found a whole street of restaurants that’d we missed on our earlier explorations!!
