Sweet peas

My friend Liz was in her garden when I passed on my way to the Co-op this morning, so I asked if I could blip her sweet peas.

They're maybe past their best now, but they've been fantastic all summer. As a novice gardener she was also quite proud of her nasturtiums and hollyhocks.

I went into Milngavie on the bus this afternoon and met D#1 for coffee and biscuits at Gavin's Mill, which is now a Fair Trade shop and café.. The biscuits had been baked by a Syrian refugee who volunteers at the café and were flavoured with sesame seeds and dates.

Now I'm waiting for the launch of this year's Strictly with bated breath...
