Testing the speedlight
Noah is less than 2 months old and this is his second wedding! Lucky boy :) He's actually been invited to both and so we have his little place name from the table for each kept in his memory box :)
It's been a long day today. We started at 9.30am and finished at 10pm - phew!! Oli is usually a second shooter but I went solo this time. Of course my men joined me - Oli set up camp in the hotel bar during the ceremony and apparently the little dude had a LOT of attention from the patrons (why am I surprised, little charmer!)
Nicola and Ian, today's bride and groom have become good friends of ours and so today was extra special - I LOVE front row seats of a friends wedding. Through the lens I get to see the emotion on their faces and every reaction up close, it's fantastic. Another good friend of ours came to the evening do so we had much fun dancing and giggling, child swapping and generally enjoying ourselves. Good times.
I took this photo while setting up my speedlights for the first dance. It's not well lit but I LOVE how Oli has a corona of light around his curls and that the baby looks like he's popping out of his chest, Alien style! He loved the lights in the disco! This wrap, the Hoppediz capetown, is definitely our "go to" wrap for most occasions. It's so comfy, soft and looks good for posh occasions! Oli got a lot of positive comments and stares yet again, when the baby was asleep people thought he had a peculiar waistcoat on :)
