The Golden Five Minutes

The rising sun passed behind a tiny chink in the heavy clouds to produce this effect. In moments it had all turned grey. Later, in the afternoon, the clouds cleared and the sunshine was lovely.

Yesterday’s snowflakes are still flat after the frost, though most of the fallen daffodils have raised themselves.
