Peaceful Sabbath

Quiet day, as Sunday's should be. Getting ready to give thanks, and making lists of the things I still need to get. Thanksgiving is a big event at our house. It's my favorite holiday, not only because of the food, but because of what we are celebrating. So much to be thankful for. It was gray, rainy, and dreary, but quite warm for mid-November. On the far right hand side of this photo is a blue spruce that my mother planted about 35 years ago. It is now 50-60 feet high and dwarfs all the other trees around it. In the lower left hand corner you can see the power poles and lines. A sign of progress and modernization, I suppose.
