Despite heavy showers we drove the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. When we got there the clouds had cleared and we got a really fresh sunny spell for our walk. The tide was well in and the waves were really crashing into the shore.

We walked from one end of the beach to the other and back. Fergus had a good run about.

Later Apothecary7 was painting.
BBC Radio 2 was the soundtrack to the afternoon.
