Rat Bike and Car

Mostly, going to bike shows can be uninspiring, with fields of bikes you could as easily see in any bike night car park. But occasionally, there's a mad one.

"Knocking on the Devil's door" is a trike by Dave Southall. The engine is a Ducati 350cc diesel, taken from a stationary engine that previously drove a bed saw. It's got a three speed gear box with reverse, and a home made sidecar.

The sidecar is made form the front of a Hawker Hunter Jet and the seat was taken from an hot rod. The tiny fuel tank is from an NSU Quickly and holds about a gallon.

Totally mad. This was part of the Oil Rag Festival of Bikes in Cheltenham Town Hall.
