A Tree in the Wood

A spur of the moment trip to Wakefield and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Always well worth the visit.

This installation by Giuseppe Penone was in the Underground Gallery and the area immediately outside. Being a tree lover I had to see what was on offer. This was a tree split length ways and the laid end to end. I liked the way the trunk had been hollowed out and the branches which gave the impression of oars.

We then had a good walk with Jet around the lake and back.
