Sanderling

A bird-watching walk this morning, which was very enjoyable, and I always learn lots of new things (it's retaining them that is the problem).

We saw five sandwich terns - the first time I have seen them - on their way to Nigeria.

Groups of sanderlings and ringed plovers on the beach...the sanderlings always seem to be in a hurry :)
